How do I transfer old iPod songs onto new pcs iTunes?

Got a new PC. I want to transfer my 4,000 songs onto the new computer with iTunes without losing the 4,000 songs. The new computer currently has 140 songs NOT on the iPod. What do I do to get the 4,000 songs in my new library?

Thanks so much!

first download this

(this only work if your ipod hard drive is enabled)

open ur ipod under my computer

drag this once downloaded to the ipod (under my computer)

then click the software (the one on the ipod)

all the songs will show up on a seperate page

then select them all and click to computer

they will be saved to were ever u tell them to

then just drag them to itunes once there are saved try winamp to sync your ipod.. Itunes is the worst software ever save them on a flash drive on your old computer, then just upload them again on your new pc There are plenty of ways to do this- discs, flash drives, emails- but the easiest and quickest, by far, will be to buy an external hard drive. You will then need to put all of your music on the EHD, let it transfer (it could take a little while, but you don%26#39;t have to hold its hand; you can leave and let it run), then transfer it onto your new comp (just into your music folder, again, this could take a little bit. Not too long because you don%26#39;t have very many songs, but I just transfered my 14,500 songs and all in all, it took about an hour. But I was on a Mac, which is better, so a retarded PC might take longer.) and then, finally, in iTunes, import all of those songs. you will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you as itunes blocks the ipod-to-computer transfer...see http://www.ipodtocomputer.net for help..it%26#39;s a shareware cost $20..it can copy songs, videos and playlists from ipod to pc only 2 clicks, works great for me.

use this program called Tansee iPod Photo Transfer. The link is below its free so all you have to do is download and install. it should allow you to transfer photos from the iPod your computer so you can burn them pretty easily.

http://www.tansee.com/ You might try one of these apps to see if it works for you. These are sharewares. I can%26#39;t find any free programs just yet. You can copy the files on your iPod by downloading iDump, and then select what you want copied on your iPod, and press start copy. iDump is completely free and does it%26#39;s job well.

This will allow you to take whatever it is on your iPod onto a new computer, a friend’s computer, or if you deleted your music by mistake. I use it myself as a personal iPod recovery program and it works great.

Download iDump from this source:

http://www.download.com/idump/3000-2169_...

There is also a list of other iPod file copying applications, however I find that iDump works the best, and is completely free. Some of these require you to purchase them for the full features. Some are MAC and Windows compatible, some are only one.

i hope that made sence! First download you digital photos in computer. Then put the Ipod usb in your computer and transfer photos from your computer on ipod. You have to use some kind of special adapter to transfer the images.

How do i transfer purchased songs from itunes to my ipod MANUALLY?

is it different for purchased songs? for some reason when i drag the song to the ipod icon the let-hand side, the song still does not show up on the ipod. any help would be appreciated, thanks. 10 points to best answer.

Answers:

when your iPod is plugged into your computer, click on it%26#39;s "name" once iTunes is opened up. there should be an unchecked box saying "Manually Manage Music". Click it. :) First get it so that you can see the iPod on the left side of your screen. Then, click on that tab and look towards the bottom of the page and click the box where it says Manually Manage music. Then, you should be able to add your songs manually

How do i transfer song files that are only found on my ipod to my computer.?

Answers:

use a program called iDump it is very simple to use. Apple doesn%26#39;t support that but there%26#39;s third-party software you can buy to do it... I%26#39;ve never used it but I%26#39;ve seen it at Best Buy. sync with itunes...then you%26#39;ll have it on both. use your ipod as a disk

Using iPod as a drive

Connect iPod to your computer.

Open iTunes if it doesn%26#39;t automatically open.

Select the iPod icon in the Source pane.

Click the Summary tab.

For most iPod models (except iPod shuffle):

Select "Enable disk use" or "Manually manage songs and playlists". Either one will allow you to use iPod as a drive. If you select "Manually manage songs and playlists", iTunes won%26#39;t automatically update iPod with the iTunes library. If you want iTunes to automatically update your iPod, select "Enable disk use" instead

The iPod disk icon appears on the desktop and in Finder windows, and in My Computer/Computer in Windows. Double-click the icon and drag files to or from iPod%26#39;s window to copy them.

Make sure to eject iPod before disconnecting it from your computer. Tip: The iPod display will say "Do Not Disconnect" when disk use is enabled (iPod shuffle%26#39;s status light will continue to blink orange until after it is ejected). These are reminders for you to eject iPod first.

Copying songs from your iPod to your computer

The iTunes library on your computer holds all the media (music, videos, podcasts, etc.) you%26#39;ve encoded from your CD collection or purchased from the iTunes Store. With default settings, iTunes automatically copies the media in your library to your iPod. When you use your iPod as a hard disk, you can%26#39;t see the media iTunes copies to your iPod in the Finder or My Computer. This is normal. Using the Finder or My Computer, you can%26#39;t copy these media files from your iPod back to iTunes or to any other computer. The synchronization between your iPod and your computer is one way: from iTunes to iPod. The exception is the transfer Purchases feature, which allows you to restore purchased iTunes content to your computer from your iPod.

How do I transfer songs from limewire to itunes then to my ipod?

I have a ipod nano(4GB) and I want to transfer my songs on limewire to itunes so I can put it on my ipod. When I connect my ipod to my computer itunes comes up and then I see my limewire tunes there, but I can%26#39;t drag the songs into my music library on itunes, and suggestions?

Answers:

Make sure you have limewire and iTunes open

You click the song you want, from limewire to make it highlighted then you will click it again to "grasp%26#39; it

then you simply remain your grasp click on the song (you will see a symbol..the one that represents a circle with a diagonal line through it) then you will drag it to your itunes library there should..you will know it is going to work because the circle symbol will change to two boxes..touching each other (one sketched) then just release the mouse click and it should load into iTunes

..keep an eye on how many songs you have in your iTunes before you add the song, and then after to see if it increases.

also you can add more than one limewire songs by adding all your songs to the "Enqueue" in limewire

and then highlight them all by clicking "Ctrl" + "A" and draging them into iTunes like before try opening limewire and drag your song to itunes before you plug in your ipod it should work if its in an MP3 or 4 format you can e-mail me if you wish i could help you more There are 2 ways to do it

1. Open the limewire folder where the music is held (you know the library) and right click each music file and select open with- Itunes. That%26#39;ll do it.

2. In itunes to file and find the search or open with button... whatever it is and select the music files that way. I suggest moving the music files to a desktop folder first though.

The first way is better but kinda time consuming. Save the file in a specific folder, then in iTunes, import file or folder. The new audio track will appear in iTunes. After it is imported drop the song into playlist or iPod.
