How do you get an MP3 player to play the tracks in the order you want them?

I have Philips SA1100/37 MP3 player and use it with Windows Media Player 11. When I sync the tracks that I rip from a CD, instead of the tracks being on the MP3 player in the order that they were on the CD they are scrambled and don%26#39;t play in the order they were in the CD. If I sync more than one CD onto the MP3 player, the tracks of the different CDs are mixed together instead of each CD being played separately and in order. These are inspirational type CDs, not music CDs, so having the tracks in the right order is very important to making any sense out of listening to them. The User Manual for the MP3 player mentions putting the CDs into folders. It seems to me that to have each CD as a separate folder on the MP3 player would be a good idea, but I can%26#39;t see any way in the MP3 player or the Windows Media player to do that. Can anyone help me? Everything I see on the Windows Media Player Help and Website don%26#39;t tell me anything.

ok i had the same prob, either go into the my computer section of your computer, then click on the philips, make a new folder you the artists or cd%26#39;s and put the number of the song in front, you can organize your music like that and skip through the folders, or you can try to get used to the being in alphabetical order like it should be putting them in. hope i helped. put them in the player in the order Make a playlist.

You need to drag or copy your music files from the shared folder in Limewire to a separate folder in my music or wherever you store your music and then go into ITunes and click on File then add folder/file to library.

First, download the music from Limewire (save to a directory). If you are setup correctly with iTunes, you should be to able double click the song downloaded and it automatically should play using iTunes. The music is also stored in the iTune%26#39;s library. Once it is there, you can create folders within iTunes and drag/drop from the library into the new folder.

Easiest way is to go to Limewire -%26gt; Preferences -%26gt; iTunes -%26gt; Importing -%26gt; Enable iTunes Importing

Yet another way which is very easy is to first have both the Limewire and Itunes Windows open. Simply select the downloaded song or songs (Hold Ctrl and click on each song for multiple songs) in limewire, left-click and hold and drag your cursor over the minimized itunes window at the bottom (Don%26#39;t release button yet!). When itunes opens take your cursor over your Library or any playlist and then release the click. The songs should then drop into that library or playlist.

The easiest way is to do a search for the song on your computer (Start-Search). Just search for the downloaded file on your computer and then copy and paste the song to My Music or wherever. The only other way is to save the song as a play list, but you will need a music converter though. Okay when you are in Limewire go to Library at the top then click on Saved Files. Click on the song you want to save (it will be highlighted in blue). Then click the Enqueue button in the middle of the page. The song will now appear in the bottom of the screen under MP3 Play List. Now hit the Save As button at the very bottom of the screen. Select where you want to save the song on your computer. The last step is to convert the song back to MP3 form. But trust me you are much better off doing a search instead. i had the same problem but everything i downloaded went to media player cept dat wouldnt let me burn it so u had to click on the selected files n right click n then go to file locater and wen the files come up move or copy them to a folder in my music and it should work but if ur downloads dnt go 2 media player try doing in the lime wire library i think it should work simple go into limewire click on the library button and simply drag the songs onto your desktop or make a new folder in my documents and simply drag them there instead

or you can go into your C drive and go to program files then open the limewire folder and all the songs should be there then just copy and paste them to a new folder if you have itunes you can drag and drop the music to that. you can basically drag and drop it to any music player. to get to the music on limewire(in case you dont know) there is a tab on th top left corner that says library. click that and it will take you to everything you have downloaded. I then check for duplicates by sorting by artist and then manually deleting. I%26#39;ve gone through 4 pairs of earphones since Christmas. I%26#39;ve finally found out the reason why is because I wind the cord around my mp3 player after I%26#39;m done listening to it. ive been having the same problem.but you can wrap it around your ipod, then take the ear phones off. then it will be in a molded circel! wind it but dont put a lot of tension on it, and the part plugged in. if the wire untangles if to loose just put the earphones under the winded wire. Wind the wire around something like a clothespin. Keeps it in a neat coil, but not wound tightly (that will damage the cord!).

Also, ears get waxy, so clean ears, and clean h-phones with rubbing alcohol 1 - 2 times/week. If you can keep %26#39;phones in a waterproof case, also good. Electronics no like wet! If you can run the cord under your shirt or jacket and have it come out of your collar, that will prevent tangling problems with other stuff too... I tie it around the iPod loosely.

And sometimes when the headphones were new or something I would whine them up around the iPod then take them out and put it on the side[but it still gets tangled sometimes

A 100 dollar electric keyboard will have lessons built in.

If you learn notation and memorize the key notes then you can play sheet music and learn through practice.

Okay...I have an ipod and I download bearshare and it work for a month without pop-ups. Then after the pop - ups came I have to restart my computer. But for me bearshare worked great!! All I had to do is wait for my songs to download and I clicked on my itunes and my songs showed up. But with Limewire I downloaded my songs and I clicked on itunes my songs wasn%26#39;t there!! Limewire is very illegal and you having mentioned that you use it can get you in big trouble, but if you promise to stop using limewire, all you have to do to move the files is to (note: this uses an windows XP computer)look at the downloaded music page of limewire: you should see the "Filepath" which is what you need to follow to get to the actual music files

The filepath is like an internet URL, so if it says C:/documents and settings/administrator/shared/...

I believe you can only transfer purchased songs. My i-Pod will empty if I try to synch it to another computer. Upload the songs onto your computer and play them in Windows Media Player.

Then search around and get used to Windows Media Player and you should be able to find %26#39;burn CD%26#39; .

Place your blank CD into the CD drive and click burn. Normal CDs can only fit a maximum of 16 tracks on.

The other way to do it is using iTunes, which I personally find much easier- and you don%26#39;t need an iPod to have iTunes. Simple go onto the iTunes website and download iTunes (it may require setting up an account).

In iTunes import all your band%26#39;s songs once you have uploaded them onto your PC.

When in the library these should be able to play, if not something whet wrong with the uploading.

Make a new playlist ( [ctrl] + [N] ) and add your band%26#39;s songs.

Insert your blank CD. Now in the bottom corner of iTunes a button/icon should have appeared. Click on this and it should burn onto disc.

then you simply remain your grasp click on the song (you will see a symbol..the one that represents a circle with a diagonal line through it) then you will drag it to your itunes library there should..you will know it is going to work because the circle symbol will change to two boxes..touching each other (one sketched) then just release the mouse click and it should load into iTunes

..keep an eye on how many songs you have in your iTunes before you add the song, and then after to see if it increases.

also you can add more than one limewire songs by adding all your songs to the "Enqueue" in limewire

and then highlight them all by clicking "Ctrl" + "A" and draging them into iTunes like before try opening limewire and drag your song to itunes before you plug in your ipod it should work if its in an MP3 or 4 format you can e-mail me if you wish i could help you more There are 2 ways to do it

1. Open the limewire folder where the music is held (you know the library) and right click each music file and select open with- Itunes. That%26#39;ll do it.

2. In itunes to file and find the search or open with button... whatever it is and select the music files that way. I suggest moving the music files to a desktop folder first though.

The first way is better but kinda time consuming. Save the file in a specific folder, then in iTunes, import file or folder. The new audio track will appear in iTunes. After it is imported drop the song into playlist or iPod.

This is type off the top of the head and at 2am so please excuse any errors, but the process is right !

Things to do first... You can skip any part that is already done.

1:Enable Hidden File Viewing Option

Open %26#39;My Computer%26#39; and select from the menus "Tools/folder options%26#39;

Select the View Tab

Locate the text Show hidden files and folders and click the cirlce.

Click the OK Button

2:Make a New Folder, on a disk with enough storage ( 30gig I think )

Double click the drive icon in %26#39; My Computer %26#39;

Right click in an empty part of the screen

Slect NEW/FOLDER in the popup menus

Type in a name that you like

Double click on the New folder that you renamed.

3:Connect the Ipod

Plug in the Ipod and let itunes find it.

It may prompt you about being synced with another PC but just say %26#39;NO%26#39;.

In the ipod option screen in iTunes check the Manual sync box and enable diskuse then APPLY.
