How do i transfer purchased songs from itunes to my ipod MANUALLY?

is it different for purchased songs? for some reason when i drag the song to the ipod icon the let-hand side, the song still does not show up on the ipod. any help would be appreciated, thanks. 10 points to best answer.

when your iPod is plugged into your computer, click on it%26#39;s "name" once iTunes is opened up. there should be an unchecked box saying "Manually Manage Music". Click it. :) First get it so that you can see the iPod on the left side of your screen. Then, click on that tab and look towards the bottom of the page and click the box where it says Manually Manage music. Then, you should be able to add your songs manually
