How do I upload individual photos onto my ipod without it deleting all my current photos?

Everytime I want to put a photo/folder onto my ipod in itunes, I have to keep putting the photos on it which it already has on. Can someone please help me %26 tell me if there is a way I can just %26#39;add%26#39; photo%26#39;s, instead of having upload the same photo%26#39;s again and again as it keeps replacing them? thanks. x
