if you have windows go to computer and in whatever driver you put it in it shows in with that name that you dont want and just re name it. but i think chris way would be easier but dony you lose your music in it? Yup. That%26#39;s what you get for insisting on an iPod: They won%26#39;t play WMA files. The easiest way to fix your problem is to burn the songs to a CD then re-rip them as MP3s.

let it charge thru the usb drive in ur computer or buy a dock. thw only difference is that the new shuffle doesnt go in thru the usb it has a cord not just a usb outlet in there through your computer...plug it in the USB place it on the dock and leave it there for a day. it may still be flashing orange, but if you do not touch it, it will eventually turn green. if the button stays orange, then just use it as it is fully chaarged, and is not displaying it.

use rubbing alcohol starting from the center use a q-tip (or any other small soft applicator) to gently make your way outside making straight lines. don%26#39;t swirl it may ruin the CD. make sure its dry completely before you put it in anything. http://www.ehow.com/how_9888_make-own-cd... Cleaning Cds and Dvds are simple.. If you want to spend money go out to a Wal-Mart or Target and buy a game shark Cd Cleaner . This removes scratches and makes the cd clean , But if you dont want ot spend money use some local household appliances such as Windex with a Soft Tissue or and glass cleaner.. Make sure it is completely dry and than put it in the player. Windex! I usually just rub them on my shirt. use a dust cloth, but although this may sound daft, if you have scratches and stuff, applying a bit of toothpaste to the scratches then rub it off, it will cover them up fairy liquid and hot water, or windolene. buy a cd cleaner u can wipe them on your shirt, or if the%26#39;re a bit scratched then clean out the CD player and take a damp cloth and wipe the CD. To clean your disk gently wipe with a clean terrycloth towel from the inside ring out - you never want to wipe in circles, as that can create bad scratches which cause the disk to become unreadable.
Another tip is to use a dab of vegetable oil, let it dry over a few minutes, and wipe the oil off (in a straight line from the inside run to the outside). rubbing alcohol usually works pretty well. But if the dvd and cd are scrated up too much u well have to buy a cleaner or get a new copy. When you use the alcohol...use only a litte and rub on the cd in a circular motion and let it air dry I prefer to just douse the dirty side with hot water. Get it very good and wet. Then I take dish soap and put a decent amount on the disc and carefully rub, with my finger tip, it evenly around the entire side I am trying to clean. I will then let it sit for a couple minutes are to dissolve any oil or grease or any other contaminates. Next, I rinse it under hot water until the disc is completely soap free. Finally, take a soft, clean towel (not a paper towel or Kleenex,etc.) and dry it by GENTLY dragging the towel in a straight line from the center of the disc to the outside. I do this all the way around the disc until it is dry. It is important to NOT RUB BACK AND FORTH. This would make it more likely to create scratches on the disc.

you have to combine the libraries onto 1 computer. ipods will only sync with 1 computer. there%26#39;s something in the software that runs the ipod that ties it to 1 and only 1 computer. the one you first hook it up to. this is apple%26#39;s attempt to cut down on piracy.
just get a portable hard drive and move the libraries to 1 computer than sync.

you first need to plug in your ipod, and a screen will show up in itunes. it will ask if you want to update your ipod, or to restore. click restore, and it will completely erase everytjing, so it is like you just got a new ipod nano! hope that helps! hook it up to your computer and click on the first song. hold down shift and click the last song. then delete them. this site will give you an ipod just for completing some quick online tasks! really recommend it, especially if you%26#39;re broke but really want an ipod (like me).

This is easy to do.
Download Handbrake, an Open source video converter that will take a DVD, or an ISO of a DVD, and rip it to whatever video format you desire. There%26#39;s even a list of presets that already has the best options for targets like PSP and iPod.
The program is available for Mac, Windows and Linux, although there%26#39;s no GUI for the Linux version.
Just download and install the program, select "iPod" as the target format, select the DVD and start the conversion.
When it%26#39;s done, import the resulting video file into iTunes.

I bought a video ipod from ebay. When I received it, it was converted for a apple computer. So I started to reconvert for my hp laptop. I have been having problems since. It tells me that it is corruped and I have to restore it and, I do that, then it tells me again that I have to restore cause it is corruped. And that is what is does all day long. You can%26#39;t. There is DRM (Digital Rights Management) on the WMA files, and they are not compatible with iTunes or the iPod. They are only compatible if you burn them to a CD, and re-rip them in iTunes without the DRM, or when using a Napster2Go compatible MP3 player, which the iPod unfortunately isn%26#39;t. Napster does not work with Ipods or Itunes... Sorry.

I%26#39;m assuming you want to start using the ipod with a different computer. Plug it into the new computer and it will usually ask you if you want to associate it with the new computer. Keep in mind it will usually erase the music that%26#39;s currently on the ipod and load whatever is on the new computer, so you want to copy the music from the old to the new first.
If you are talking about deauthorizing it%26#39;s access to purchased music from the iTunes music store, it automatically uses the authorization on the computer it%26#39;s associated with, so that will change when you change computers. You don%26#39;t have to. iPods need no authorization. iTunes does.

You have to delete it in iTunes, then connect your iPod to your computer - when it resyncs, the podcast will have disappeared from the iPod. you can not delite thing of your ipod yo need itunes to do theat. go to pod cast in itune. right click n the podcast and click delite. there you go. go to the section where it says podcasts in your itunes and it will tell you the ones you have subscribed to then click delete and it will ask do you want to store them or remove to recycle bin

Everything? Format it. It will wipe everything out with a couple clicks. To format, connect your player. Go to "My Computer" %26gt; select your Creative Zen, right click and drop down to "format". A message should pop up, I suppose you click Okay(?). Everything will be wiped out but the system files.

when you are downloading the songs have it download from only in your playlist i forgot how to do that but i think when its plugged into itunes you can change what playlist the ipod downloads from right click on the song you want to delete then choose clear. hopefully, that will solve your problem.

To unhide go to "Tools" (located on the menu bar) %26gt; "Folder Options..." %26gt; hit the "View" tab %26gt; select "Show hidden files and folders". You will see more folders to appear in a faded color. Click on the "MUSIC" folder. Click on the artist, then album then select the song, right click and down to delete.

Connect your ipod to iTunes, click on the song that your want to delete, go to Edit (top left), scroll down until you see delete. :) Go to your iTunes and delete it from there. Then sync your ipod with iTunes. plug you iPod in the computer and click on your iPod (on the computer) right click on the song you don%26#39;t want. and there you go deleted!!

easy just take a pic that you find of the album and drag it to the space where the album art should be in itunes. That%26#39;s on a mac at least I don%26#39;t know if it%26#39;s the same on windows. Check the menu bar at the top of iTunes. Click on the "Advanced" tab. Then click on "Get Album Artwork". To make sure you get good results, make sure you fill in all of the info for artist, album, and title. click on the song and go up to the toolbar and click advanced and click on get album artwork or you can right click on the song and click on get album art work Just look up the CDs on the internet, get the pictures of the CDs on any website that sells CDs. You can just drag them into the artwork box and they should stay.
Or just go to Advanced...then click Get Artwork. Sometimes it cannot get the artwork so do the first one I listed.

I downloaded songs off Limewire and very few songs already had artwork when I clicked the "Edit Track Info" button. When I put those songs onto my Sansa, the artwork showed up. However, when I put in artwork myself from Google by clicking the "Save Image As..." button then going to Rhapsody and adding the artwork by browsing, the artwork didn%26#39;t show up when I uploaded the song to my Sansa.

I have Philips SA1100/37 MP3 player and use it with Windows Media Player 11. When I sync the tracks that I rip from a CD, instead of the tracks being on the MP3 player in the order that they were on the CD they are scrambled and don%26#39;t play in the order they were in the CD. If I sync more than one CD onto the MP3 player, the tracks of the different CDs are mixed together instead of each CD being played separately and in order. These are inspirational type CDs, not music CDs, so having the tracks in the right order is very important to making any sense out of listening to them. It seems to me that to have each CD as a separate folder on the MP3 player would be a good idea, but I can%26#39;t see any way in the MP3 player or the Windows Media player to do that. ok i had the same prob, either go into the my computer section of your computer, then click on the philips, make a new folder you the artists or cd%26#39;s and put the number of the song in front, you can organize your music like that and skip through the folders, or you can try to get used to the being in alphabetical order like it should be putting them in. hope i helped. put them in the player in the order Make a playlist.

well to save all the trouble, go to the limewire library and just drag and drop things you want on your itunes to the itunes.
unless you want to look for the file directory of the songs you have onto the itunes as well. By importing them to itunes. shift + click whatever songs you want, drag them over the %26#39;Music%26#39; tab of %26#39;Library%26#39; and release,
-OR-
Ctrl+O and then find the folder you saved them in. You can either manually do all of them or shift click and/or ctrl click what you want. If it doesn%26#39;t add then its the wrong type of file.

How to tranfer music from Limewire to iTunes

You need to drag or copy your music files from the shared folder in Limewire to a separate folder in my music or wherever you store your music and then go into ITunes and click on File then add folder/file to library.
First, download the music from Limewire (save to a directory). If you are setup correctly with iTunes, you should be to able double click the song downloaded and it automatically should play using iTunes. The music is also stored in the iTune%26#39;s library. Once it is there, you can create folders within iTunes and drag/drop from the library into the new folder.
Easiest way is to go to Limewire -%26gt; Preferences -%26gt; iTunes -%26gt; Importing -%26gt; Enable iTunes Importing
Yet another way which is very easy is to first have both the Limewire and Itunes Windows open. Simply select the downloaded song or songs (Hold Ctrl and click on each song for multiple songs) in limewire, left-click and hold and drag your cursor over the minimized itunes window at the bottom (Don%26#39;t release button yet!). When itunes opens take your cursor over your Library or any playlist and then release the click. The songs should then drop into that library or playlist.
From my experience, you have to do it manually.

I just recently bought an ipod nano 2nd generataion %26 I%26#39;m a bit confused. I imported Stadium Arcadium onto my iPod just fine but it won%26#39;t show the album art. i need to burn a cd.
The easiest way is to do a search for the song on your computer (Start-Search). Just search for the downloaded file on your computer and then copy and paste the song to My Music or wherever. The only other way is to save the song as a play list, but you will need a music converter though. Okay when you are in Limewire go to Library at the top then click on Saved Files. Click on the song you want to save (it will be highlighted in blue). Then click the Enqueue button in the middle of the page. The song will now appear in the bottom of the screen under MP3 Play List. Now hit the Save As button at the very bottom of the screen. Select where you want to save the song on your computer. The last step is to convert the song back to MP3 form. But trust me you are much better off doing a search instead. i had the same problem but everything i downloaded went to media player cept dat wouldnt let me burn it so u had to click on the selected files n right click n then go to file locater and wen the files come up move or copy them to a folder in my music and it should work but if ur downloads dnt go 2 media player try doing in the lime wire library i think it should work simple go into limewire click on the library button and simply drag the songs onto your desktop or make a new folder in my documents and simply drag them there instead
or you can go into your C drive and go to program files then open the limewire folder and all the songs should be there then just copy and paste them to a new folder if you have itunes you can drag and drop the music to that. you can basically drag and drop it to any music player. to get to the music on limewire(in case you dont know) there is a tab on th top left corner that says library. click that and it will take you to everything you have downloaded. (1) Create a separate folder on your desktop, and name it. Example: Joey%26#39;s Videos
(2) Drag %26 drop the desired video(s) from Limewie to Joey%26#39;s Videos.
(3) Drag %26 drop the desired video(s) from Joey%26#39;s Videos to iTunes.
(4) Delete the video(s) from your Limewire library. (Of course, only if you do not want to share them.)

It%26#39;s rather easy, but you do have to have accsess to itunes. First make it show duplactes in itunes and save it as a playlist. Copy the playlist over to the ipod tada you can%26#39;t do it on the ipod - anything on the ipod will be in itunes though? Quite right you must be in I-Tunes to do the sorting and checking. I then check for duplicates by sorting by artist and then manually deleting. I then I check by a song title sort and do the same again. you see the controls at the top left? hit VIEW. ..near the bottom of the menu there is a SHOW DUPLICATES key..hope this does the trick.

umm... be sure your not on a playlist... or on the party shuffle one... because dragging relocates there... and you can sort stuff by clicking tilte on the top bar to sort by title name... also for album, rating, etc... and hold shift button to highlight consecutive items... [first shift then click first item then click last item... all this time holding down shift button then when done release...] [also can be used with ctrl button... but a bit different function... ] hope this helped if your using a pc hold ctrl down while you click on each song separately, I think you hold the apple key down on mac but im not sure

Well,once the song ends you can just press back and repeat the
song. OR you can go to settings and turn Repeat on, and the song you choose will repeat until u turn repeat off. near the end, rewind Go On Settings, go on repeat, thenand keep changing it till it says one just rewind it or u could go to settings and put repeat as many times as u like got to seeting that repeat off. that should do it for you.

I%26#39;ve gone through 4 pairs of earphones since Christmas. I%26#39;ve finally found out the reason why is because I wind the cord around my mp3 player after I%26#39;m done listening to it. So, I%26#39;m going to get a new pair soon, and I%26#39;m wondering what do with then after I%26#39;m done listening to them, and keep them untangled. I tend to listen to them on the go, and when I%26#39;m walking so a case for them isn%26#39;t an option, so something more like a certian way of winding them would be good. And, what else I can do to keep them working for a long time.
ive been having the same problem.but you can wrap it around your ipod, then take the ear phones off. then it will be in a molded circel! wind it but dont put a lot of tension on it, and the part plugged in. if the wire untangles if to loose just put the earphones under the winded wire. Wind the wire around something like a clothespin. Keeps it in a neat coil, but not wound tightly (that will damage the cord!).
Also, ears get waxy, so clean ears, and clean h-phones with rubbing alcohol 1 - 2 times/week. If you can keep %26#39;phones in a waterproof case, also good. Electronics no like wet! If you can run the cord under your shirt or jacket and have it come out of your collar, that will prevent tangling problems with other stuff too... I tie it around the iPod loosely.
And sometimes when the headphones were new or something I would whine them up around the iPod then take them out and put it on the side[but it still gets tangled sometimes

They teach you finger positions and give you simple songs which exercise particular motions or reaches.
You should also learn the notes.
For instance, C is directly to the left of two black keys and they count up or down from there. Middle C is in the middle of a grand piano, or usually more towards 2/3 on a standard electric keyboard.
A 100 dollar electric keyboard will have lessons built in.
If you learn notation and memorize the key notes then you can play sheet music and learn through practice.
I can%26#39;t name any books off hand, but hell piano is piano, if you are beginner then any resource will help. Just visit the music store, or look online for lessons.

Okay...I have an ipod and I download bearshare and it work for a month without pop-ups. Then after the pop - ups came I have to restart my computer. But for me bearshare worked great!! All I had to do is wait for my songs to download and I clicked on my itunes and my songs showed up. But with Limewire I downloaded my songs and I clicked on itunes my songs wasn%26#39;t there!! Also my cuzin said all I have to do is drag my songs?? And I really didn%26#39;t get what she said so I would LOVE some really easy answers that a 13 year old can follow!!

Let me show you HOW to find the limewire folder...
Limewire is very illegal and you having mentioned that you use it can get you in big trouble, but if you promise to stop using limewire, all you have to do to move the files is to (note: this uses an windows XP computer)look at the downloaded music page of limewire: you should see the "Filepath" which is what you need to follow to get to the actual music files
The filepath is like an internet URL, so if it says C:/documents and settings/administrator/shared/...
all you have to do is open my computer, disk C, The folder titled "documents and settings", open the folder in it titled "administrator", folder titled "shared" and then select all your music and right click "Copy" then go to your iTunes library folder (find the filepath under the "get info" right click option on any song, then follow it to you iTunes liobrary) and paste

at the bottom should be a button that says import CD and ever track that is checked will be in your music library.

I deleted my "music" file from my ipod mini, because there wasn%26#39;t enough space to put my new songs (that I puchased) on, and now when I try to "sync" my ipod with only certain playlists, it says there%26#39;s not enough space. where your music is on itunes it will have a tick box, unclick it so its empty and the next time you insert your ipod then it should get rid of the songs on it!

I have tried to just connect my ipod to my new computer but only my purchased songs get transfered on my new computer.
You can use the iPod as an external hard drive. You%26#39;ll have to delete everything on it, but I think I%26#39;ll be worth it, since you%26#39;ll have the library in your new computer. To set the iPod as a hard drive, open the iPod in your old computer, and on the summary that appears on iTunes, uncheck the box that says %26#39;Sync only check items%26#39; and check the one that says %26#39;Manually manage music%26#39; and the one that says %26#39;Enable disk use%26#39;. Now go to My Pc, click on your iPod and paste all your music files there. Then go to your new computer and paste all the files to My Music folder.

When you use windows media player to rip songs from a CD, you should set first the target directory where you want the ripped songs to be located/saved. To do this, right click on the top panel of Windows Media Player window, choose tools and then options. Under the Rip Music tab, change the target directory specified under the Rip Music to. its simple put the cd in and then when you are at itunes you%26#39;ll dee it there if you have the latest itunes that is. when the cd is in then you can basically just see the songs on the cd and drag them into your ipod. if not that you can go to file%26gt; add file to library %26gt; and you cd drive%26gt; and then add song. u need to extract the songs from ur cd with software such as windows media player. then go to the folder where the songs are and put them in ur ipod by dragging them into the ipod software. Like when you create a new playlist on iTunes, how do you put the songs from your music onto the actual playlist. I tried to %26#39;drag-and-drop%26#39;, but it wouldnt let me. :(

you need windows media player 10...if you have like the the black one with the little wheel thing on it then you need windows media player 10. Then changhe the usb setting to the other one (i forgot what is is...instead of the default option choose the other one i think it is mtsc or something like that) Then choose the playlist then sync Best to use windows explorer. That%26#39;s how I do it. Just drag and drop the songs. go to google and search on how to do this. You can use your mp3 player with out the installation CD or drivers if you have windows xp (service pack 2) and windows media player 11 it will work fine after it%26#39;s charged.

Adding music onto iPods from Windows Media Player -- Not possible unless you change the iPod software, which can void the warranty and mess up your player.
Movies only work on the iPod video. Won%26#39;t work with the Nano or Shuffle. Pictures will work with any iPod but the shuffle. To add pictures of videos, just place the videos all into one single files, same with pictures. Then set that folder as default for photos / videos. When you sync, it will sync to your iPod as well.
Its supposed to be an mp3 but when i plug it into the computer it says mp4. I do not know how to convert it to mp3 or how to put songs on it.

limewire and itunes have no relation.
you have to drag files from the limewire shared folder into your itunes.
then synch the ipod with itunes. Move the songs over from your limewire folder into Itunes, then hook your Ipod up to your computer. It should start Syncing on its own (loading the songs back onto the IPOD). If not find in Itunes where it says sync IPOD and click that.

you can put them on your ipod don%26#39;t listen to guy above me... all you have to do is connect your ipod and click the games tab and there is a box you can click that will updata your ipod... just click on the games tab the next time your ipod is hook up to your computer and you will see what i am talking about... This means that you must have moved the songs to a new location or have not properly added the songs to your library. Try going to file and adding the songs again to your library. If there is an issue with the songs in your library you will see a little gray circle with an "!" inside if you try to play them. That means that the song is not found at the location which you downloaded to your itunes library. I am guessing that is the issue. You maybe moved the music after you had put it in your itunes. Once you know the songs are in your library you should just be able to drag them into your ipod on the left in itunes if you have it set on manually update songs. If it is automatically synch, it should do it for you when you connect your ipod.

I believe you can only transfer purchased songs. My i-Pod will empty if I try to synch it to another computer. Under Edit, Preferences. click the ipod tab and there should be an option to manually control your ipod as opposed to having it automatically sync. You should be able to do what you want after changing that setting.
