if you have windows go to computer and in whatever driver you put it in it shows in with that name that you dont want and just re name it. but i think chris way would be easier but dony you lose your music in it? Yup. That%26#39;s what you get for insisting on an iPod: They won%26#39;t play WMA files. The easiest way to fix your problem is to burn the songs to a CD then re-rip them as MP3s.

let it charge thru the usb drive in ur computer or buy a dock. thw only difference is that the new shuffle doesnt go in thru the usb it has a cord not just a usb outlet in there through your computer...plug it in the USB place it on the dock and leave it there for a day. it may still be flashing orange, but if you do not touch it, it will eventually turn green. if the button stays orange, then just use it as it is fully chaarged, and is not displaying it.

Cleaning Cds and Dvds are simple.. If you want to spend money go out to a Wal-Mart or Target and buy a game shark Cd Cleaner . This removes scratches and makes the cd clean , But if you dont want ot spend money use some local household appliances such as Windex with a Soft Tissue or and glass cleaner.. Make sure it is completely dry and than put it in the player. Windex! I usually just rub them on my shirt. use a dust cloth, but although this may sound daft, if you have scratches and stuff, applying a bit of toothpaste to the scratches then rub it off, it will cover them up fairy liquid and hot water, or windolene. buy a cd cleaner u can wipe them on your shirt, or if the%26#39;re a bit scratched then clean out the CD player and take a damp cloth and wipe the CD. To clean your disk gently wipe with a clean terrycloth towel from the inside ring out - you never want to wipe in circles, as that can create bad scratches which cause the disk to become unreadable.
Another tip is to use a dab of vegetable oil, let it dry over a few minutes, and wipe the oil off (in a straight line from the inside run to the outside). rubbing alcohol usually works pretty well. But if the dvd and cd are scrated up too much u well have to buy a cleaner or get a new copy. When you use the alcohol...use only a litte and rub on the cd in a circular motion and let it air dry I prefer to just douse the dirty side with hot water. Get it very good and wet. Then I take dish soap and put a decent amount on the disc and carefully rub, with my finger tip, it evenly around the entire side I am trying to clean. I will then let it sit for a couple minutes are to dissolve any oil or grease or any other contaminates. Next, I rinse it under hot water until the disc is completely soap free. Finally, take a soft, clean towel (not a paper towel or Kleenex,etc.) and dry it by GENTLY dragging the towel in a straight line from the center of the disc to the outside. I do this all the way around the disc until it is dry. It is important to NOT RUB BACK AND FORTH. This would make it more likely to create scratches on the disc.

you have to combine the libraries onto 1 computer. ipods will only sync with 1 computer. there%26#39;s something in the software that runs the ipod that ties it to 1 and only 1 computer. the one you first hook it up to. this is apple%26#39;s attempt to cut down on piracy.
just get a portable hard drive and move the libraries to 1 computer than sync.

you first need to plug in your ipod, and a screen will show up in itunes. it will ask if you want to update your ipod, or to restore. click restore, and it will completely erase everytjing, so it is like you just got a new ipod nano! hope that helps! hook it up to your computer and click on the first song. hold down shift and click the last song. then delete them. this site will give you an ipod just for completing some quick online tasks! really recommend it, especially if you%26#39;re broke but really want an ipod (like me).

Download Handbrake, an Open source video converter that will take a DVD, or an ISO of a DVD, and rip it to whatever video format you desire. There%26#39;s even a list of presets that already has the best options for targets like PSP and iPod.
The program is available for Mac, Windows and Linux, although there%26#39;s no GUI for the Linux version.
Just download and install the program, select "iPod" as the target format, select the DVD and start the conversion.

I bought a video ipod from ebay. When I received it, it was converted for a apple computer. So I started to reconvert for my hp laptop. I have been having problems since. It tells me that it is corruped and I have to restore it and, I do that, then it tells me again that I have to restore cause it is corruped. And that is what is does all day long. Please, if any one has any ideas of what to do please me know.

You can%26#39;t. There is DRM (Digital Rights Management) on the WMA files, and they are not compatible with iTunes or the iPod. They are only compatible if you burn them to a CD, and re-rip them in iTunes without the DRM, or when using a Napster2Go compatible MP3 player, which the iPod unfortunately isn%26#39;t. Napster does not work with Ipods or Itunes... Sorry.

I%26#39;m assuming you want to start using the ipod with a different computer. Plug it into the new computer and it will usually ask you if you want to associate it with the new computer. Keep in mind it will usually erase the music that%26#39;s currently on the ipod and load whatever is on the new computer, so you want to copy the music from the old to the new first.
If you are talking about deauthorizing it%26#39;s access to purchased music from the iTunes music store, it automatically uses the authorization on the computer it%26#39;s associated with, so that will change when you change computers. You don%26#39;t have to. iPods need no authorization. iTunes does.

You have to delete it in iTunes, then connect your iPod to your computer - when it resyncs, the podcast will have disappeared from the iPod. you can not delite thing of your ipod yo need itunes to do theat. go to pod cast in itune. right click n the podcast and click delite. there you go. go to the section where it says podcasts in your itunes and it will tell you the ones you have subscribed to then click delete and it will ask do you want to store them or remove to recycle bin

Everything? Format it. It will wipe everything out with a couple clicks. To format, connect your player. Go to "My Computer" %26gt; select your Creative Zen, right click and drop down to "format". A message should pop up, I suppose you click Okay(?). Everything will be wiped out but the system files.

when you are downloading the songs have it download from only in your playlist i forgot how to do that but i think when its plugged into itunes you can change what playlist the ipod downloads from right click on the song you want to delete then choose clear. hopefully, that will solve your problem.

To unhide go to "Tools" (located on the menu bar) %26gt; "Folder Options..." %26gt; hit the "View" tab %26gt; select "Show hidden files and folders". You will see more folders to appear in a faded color. Click on the "MUSIC" folder. Click on the artist, then album then select the song, right click and down to delete.

Connect your ipod to iTunes, click on the song that your want to delete, go to Edit (top left), scroll down until you see delete. :) Go to your iTunes and delete it from there. Then sync your ipod with iTunes. plug you iPod in the computer and click on your iPod (on the computer) right click on the song you don%26#39;t want. and there you go deleted!!

You can put it back into the computer and try to sync and restore again. i did the same thing, all i had to do is just restore it again! if you are still having troble just go to apple.com and they have forums with questions like this ... i hope you fix your ipod! good luck Restore it again. Does the computer register the device? If so, restore it again. If not, look at the Manuals section of the ITunes store and see if they have any suggestions. easy just take a pic that you find of the album and drag it to the space where the album art should be in itunes. That%26#39;s on a mac at least I don%26#39;t know if it%26#39;s the same on windows. Check the menu bar at the top of iTunes. Click on the "Advanced" tab. Then click on "Get Album Artwork". To make sure you get good results, make sure you fill in all of the info for artist, album, and title. click on the song and go up to the toolbar and click advanced and click on get album artwork or you can right click on the song and click on get album art work Just look up the CDs on the internet, get the pictures of the CDs on any website that sells CDs. You can just drag them into the artwork box and they should stay.
Or just go to Advanced...then click Get Artwork. Sometimes it cannot get the artwork so do the first one I listed.

I downloaded songs off Limewire and very few songs already had artwork when I clicked the "Edit Track Info" button. When I put those songs onto my Sansa, the artwork showed up. However, when I put in artwork myself from Google by clicking the "Save Image As..." button then going to Rhapsody and adding the artwork by browsing, the artwork didn%26#39;t show up when I uploaded the song to my Sansa.

If you want to buy an ipod i would go to a store like bestbuy, becasue they have shopping asistants that can help you find exactly what you want. They make different types of ipods for example " video, nano, and shuffle." You can also get different amounts of memory, with more memory you can hold more songs but it also costs more. When it comes to getting music for your ipod you can just simply buy it from the itunes store, but it will cost .99 cents for each song. Most of the people i know use a program called Limewire. You can easily find it on google and install it for free. You can easy get music and videos off it for free and then transfer the files to your itunes. you fork over some cash for a nano - the shuffle is cheap but its a scam - its ****. Best Buy matches prices
I use Limewire to download songs for free To get really good information about those kinda things go to Best Buy or Radio Shack and the people who work there will help you. A song is 99 cents. A movie is like somewhere around 14$-19$ I%26#39;m GUESSING because I dont have an ipod video. you can also get music videos for 1.99 i think. ok! if you want to get one like get you might want to go to a store where they sell electronics such as Radioshack. Or you may go to apple.com and order an ipod. The best is the Video but that%26#39;s expensive it all depends where u live. And the cheapest but not best is the new shuffle. GOod Luck You can get them at Costco, Walmart, best buy, any electronic store. The cheapest one is the shuffle or something. Their 20 dollars but they don%26#39;t have a screen. The nanos are $140. They are small but do have a screen. The video ipod 30gb Is $240 But they have problems. I had 5 different videos. They all broke down with in 5 months. If I were you, I%26#39;d get a nano. I think their the best.
