Be careful with LimeWire. It is notorious for carrying spyware and adware. It has been reported that it will automatically install Kazaa (another spyware laden program) into your computer and screw things up. You should be able to just drag and drop the songs but you can also just open them to iTunes I guess. drag the song from limewire to ur itunes library you put explore and then it will go to shared files then you take the thing you down loaded and put it in your ipod

You go to the Music folder in iTunes should be the top item in the light blue, left-side panel. Then you simply click on the songs you want to put on there (click a song then press shift and click another song to select all in between and/or hold ctrl and click on multiple songs) then drag them over to the little iPod logo. It is also on the left-side panel. Also be sure to manually eject the iPod by hitting the eject button just to the right of the little iPod logo. just plug in the ipod with ur usb cord into the usb port in ur comp. and it wil do the rest auto you click and hold on to the song.and then u drag it to where it says so and sos ipod ok, on put songs on u ituns, then plug in you ipod in to ur computer then on ur itunes ur ipod will show up, then u go to the music on ur i tunes then drag them to ur ipod which should show on ur left Ok, once you get your songs on ITunes plug in your IPod into your computer with the USB cord. You need to connect it to the computer and when it appears in iTunes tell it not to sync. Click on the Ipod on the left side where music and playlists are. At the bottom of the screen there is a graph with the number of GB%26#39;s used. Click on the box that says add music manually or something like that. Then simply drag the songs you would like to add to the Ipod from the Music folder in iTunes over to the Ipod logo and they should copy without syncing it. Just connect the Mp3 to the computer ursing your USB and then a window will come up and say like view files...or all that.and if one doesent come up then thats good u can still do it...but i dont use that window...Just connect it...and wait about like 30 seconds.then to to "Start" then "My Computer" then once u click on it it will say USB storage or it will say ur mp3%26#39;s name...then click on it and then u will see all ur files and if u dont have any it will be blank...then u can use your program that has songs like limewire...windows media..ECT. Then just go to your songs hold and drag it down to the task bar that is still open from your Mp3 that u openeed in "My Computer" and then hjust drag it into the window were its blank and there u have it! 2. Buy the music kit from verizon and do it that way.
My sister and I do it both ways. She has a card and I got the music kit. I have to put music on both. So far I have had no trouble with the music kit. The card I have had a little problem but I don%26#39;t have her phone so I have to do it then take it to her. For the card you have to format it before you start. The only problem with not getting the card is that you don%26#39;t have a lot of memory for music on the phone. The card you can hold a lot more.

It is a 2GB IPOD NANO that is two weeks old. It went to black screen while I was going through photos that I had just downloaded.
Hmm...well u can press the select button(centre of click wheel) and the menu button at the same time and hold it down until it returns to normal (usually five seconds)..it worked for me. Try it out.

You can burn your music onto CD or DVD then insert in his computer and upload them to it.
Or you can upload your music to a "locker" at mp3tunes.com then from his computer sync it back to it.
It takes awhile to initially sync them all to the locker but it%26#39;s well-worth it.
Upload 1gig to the initial free account and then wait and they%26#39;ll upgrade you to unlimited space.
You can also play the music from any computer either from the site or stream it through iTunes.
Please don%26#39;t consider using these download utilities for free music. Not only is it illegal, it%26#39;s also an easy way to get virus on your PC (assuming you use PC)

A simple solution I%26#39;ve found is using QuickTime Media Player (free download from Apple.com) and opening the video in that. (Note, videos downloaded from iTunes are protected MPEG files and will NOT work, unless you crack them with a program)

I have had iTunes for a while and I had a video iPod that the iTunes was set up for. I just downgraded to a nano and I plugged it in and it Synced all my songs to the nano, but I am not able to add or delete any songs to it. I think iTunes is still set to my video iPod. How do I set it up to where my nano is my main iPod?
I also have a nano. If you have selected to have your nano automatically sync with iTunes, then there may be some difficultly with manually adjusting the songs. However, if you de-select the auto-synce box on your nano settings, you should be able to add and delete whatever songs you want on the nano.
The setting options are on the screen that pops up when you plug your nano into the computer. You can also select it in the side list.

iTunes songs have a BS license that makes this kind of distribution of songs illegal. You can however use an iPod to enjoy the music at work. I plugged in my sansa 250e to my computer and it reads connected but it does not show up in my computer as another device.
There are several ways to do this.
First way, use Windows Media Player 11. Connect your player. Open up Windows Media Player 11. Go to the "Sync" tab. On the topper right hand corner, you should be able to see your Sansa. If not, it has not been detected.

you are probably low on memory uncheck autofill. when it says updating ipod on the space on the top click the X to the right of where it says updating ipod You must update your playlist.
1.) Drag your favorite song, photo, or video, into your favorite playlist in iTunes.

On itunes i have the playlist for my ipod shuffle set out in the way i want it (by clicking on the first column which shows the numbers) so that number 1 is at the top (first) and number 86 is at the bottom (last) and i can change the order. i purchased two south park episodes because im going on vacation and i wanted to have them to entertain me.

For the PC, there is a full-featured (and free) application called ephPod. ephPod can export files from your ipod to the PC. The PC does not need to be the authorized machine for your iPod.
1.Download and install ephPod from http://www.ephpod.com/
2.Open the application, Start %26gt; Programs %26gt; ephPod.
3.Make sure your iPod is plugged in and select the drive in the pull down list that your iPod appears as.
4.Once the application has seen your iPod, double click "songs"—this will bring up a list of all the songs on your iPod.

either take an alcohol wipe that you can buy at any walmart and wipe it on the phone, or take a very small amount of finger nail polish. it will take it right off. I reccomend the alcohol wipes, I use them all the time to clean my phone. Use a rubbing alcohol pab. nail polish remover will work! it dosnt ruin phones because one time my sister painted her phone with nail polish and %26#39;%26#39;bling%26#39;%26#39; those gems) and nail polish remover workes excelent!

when you go to add/remove programs in the control panel, click on remove, now, what occasionally happens is that either limewire doesn%26#39;t appear in add/remove programs, or it tells you that it can%26#39;t uninstall, if either of these happens, just re-install limewire and then uninstall, this almost always works, after you have removed limewire do a search for limewire and then open each containing folder and delete everything that is associated with limewire, also look for GNU, this is associated with limewire, there may be other associated files but these are the only ones i know of. failing all of this you may need to obtain a good uninstaller program. good luck. you have to uninstall it go to your control panel, then click on uninstall a program, select the item you want to delete, and then and uninstall/change button will come up, click that, then it will uninstall xx uninstall it as said

I think I did this in two different ways b4, but never noted the steps so it takes me more time than if I knew what I was actually suppose to do. Anyone know a way of transferring DVD%26#39;s to my ipod? I tried to click and drag an episode of a show on my computer and it won%26#39;t allow it. I heard that you have to buy software to do it...apple=tricky bastards (or super smart, can%26#39;t figure out which) But I did hear that some people have a way around buying the programs that you see online. I actually had the same problem but with some help and wasting about 50 points on here, I finally got the answer I needed.
If you%26#39;ve downloaded movies from limewire or some other p2p program, you%26#39;ll need a program that will convert you%26#39;re movie files to a compatable format that can play on ipods, which would be MPEG-4. I am trying to learn how to use my iPod so I have some really basic questions. I read the Features Manual for the iPod but it doesn%26#39;t explain some of the features as they relate to iTunes.

When you plug your iPod into your computer, it should automatically sync the songs from your Library that are checked to your iPod. If it doesn%26#39;t then you probably have %26#39;manually manage music%26#39; checked, uncheck that and it will sync automatically.
To create a Playlist, go to File and click %26#39;new playlist%26#39;, it will go to the left menu thing. Then you right click on the song you want and select %26#39;add to Playlist%26#39;. Cliclk sync ipod. There%26#39;s an option in the file menu and I believe one comes up when you plug in you ipod. That%26#39;s the easiest way. To create a playlist, click on file, then new playlist. It will create a new playlist and if you click on your music library you can drag songs into your new playlist. Then when you sync your ipod you can pick that playlist. First plug in your ipod to your computer once the ipod appears on itunes click on it. On that menu select music, all the playlists of your itunes will appear. select the playlists you wish to put into your ipod the select sync. all the music will sync onto your ipod check all of the songs from your iTunes library and when you%26#39;re done, go to file and go down until you find "Sync iPod"

you can do it a couple of ways.
Old fashion method
Go to Radio Shack and by an 1/8" male stero plug and 2 male RCA plugs and as much 4 conductor shielded cable as it takes to go from your computer to your stereo. I assume you would know how to wire - if not you can ask at radio shack.
Modern method
Buy a Wifi remote media center that you connect to your TV and/or Stereo to make a wireless connection between the two. There are several out there to choose from. Here is a link to one of the lessor expensive units that I have.

burn it on a cd or if you have limewire create the playlist and go to menu the import and it will import it put it all on a save file and ask Itunes to open that file and it should pop up on now playing... then make a playlist for it on itunes and save it into there if you go on itunes, it actually has a link where you can import a folder into your library. just open itunes, go to file, and go to add folder to library. then all u do is find the folder with all your music on it and click open. it should automatically put all the files in that folder into your itunes. it worked for me, so it should work for u. hope this helps

Well Limewire is already a shared file on my itunes but i dont know how to put it into my itunes library. Cause like when I double click on the shared attachment its there but when i look in my library its not so i dont know how to transfer it to my library.
Steps:
1. Select "File"
2. Select "Add Folder to Library..."
3. Click "My Computer, Local Disk(C:), Documents and Settings, Owner, Shared"
After you have done that hit "Select" and all the songs you have on Limewire will be in your iTunes Library.
Just a piece of info: Even if after you download your whole Limewire library into your iTunes library you add like 3 more songs to your limewire and want them in your itunes library. You can repeat the same steps and get them because iTunes wont replicate one song if it%26#39;s already in the library. Hope i helped! :) When you download the music in limewire there are two main boxes. One shows the items you searched for, the smaller one below it shows what you are downloading. After you download a song from limewire, right click it and click explore. You%26#39;re song should be in a file called share. right click on the song you downloaded and send it to the folder you made earlier in the %26#39;My Documents%26#39;. Open iTunes and click "transfer file from folder". then look for your folder that you made and double click on the song you downloaded. It should be in iTunes.

You are going to have to enable manual managing of the iPod. To manually manage what files go on your iPod instead of synchronizing, perform the following steps:

First, make a folder somewhere (probably in your My Pictures folder) and put all the pictures you want in it. Then, plug in your iPod and go to it in iTunes. Ok, this doesn%26#39;t require you to install anything, (unless you don%26#39;t have iTunes...) Open up iTunes. Now click on Edit, then prefrences. Leave it there, now connect your iPod to the computer. Click on My Computer, and double click on your ipod. i cant seem to upload my music to my mp3, and when i try to download them to a cd, a ! mark in a blue circle apears, and the cd wont play in my cd player, and i dont know how to upload the music to my mp3 player.
after d/load on limewire you need to alter your windows media player settings for you to confert files to mp3 to do this go to tools in media player and click options look at tabs and you will see file type. you can check any box you think you may need or click box in corner to select all.
next time you go to copy to a cd from limewire it will start up media player and copy no problem(it will tell you it,s conferting files to mp3) once you have mastered the music onto cd then i would put them on to your mp3 player. hope this helps any trouble email and i,ll help any way i can. to play the music on a cd player you need to convert the files from mp3, unless you have a mp3 enabled cd player (it doesn%26#39;t sound like you do) there are many free software programmes that you can download, try media monkey (just google it and it%26#39;l be top of the results)

You have to sync them through your Itunes (unless you use winamp). The videos have to be a in a format that itunes recognizes. you have to have the radio tuned to the station programmed into your Griffin. Sometimes you can program a specific station yourself. It has to be an %26#39;empty%26#39; station; all static. Then you press play on your Nano. I think you can just plug in it using the car charger port.

Okay once you pull up the itunes window...u click the link to the itunes store..if ur currntly logged in then scroll over to the far right of the page, under quick links simply click on redeem and enter the gift card code...which is located on the back of the card go to the site... and use it. what does it say on the gift card and I iwll check it out for you go to the itunes store, click redeem from card or whatever, and type in the code you dont. they dont work. hasnt anyone ever told you? they stopped using them because people were hacking iTunes and making copies of them.

If you have songs on your player with an error that could be a corrupt file on your player and to get rid of that you will have to format.

a lot of ways. one and the easiest way is microwave it. another way is put ipod on hold and unhold fast,then MENU+CENTER+PERVIOUS key until apple logo comes up, it would unfreeze. another way is let battery run out,after that recharge it. Hold the center button %26 "MENU" button simultaneously for 10 seconds. That SHOULD fix the problem. Also (I know this might sound stupid but I%26#39;ve made this mistake before) make sure the "HOLD" button is in the off position.
If that doesn%26#39;t work plug your iPod into your computer %26 try to sync it. If problems persist I recommend using the "Restore" button on the main iPod page in iTunes.

well its quite simple. put your cd into the computer disc drive. then on itunes it will show the contents of the cd. Make a new playlist off the file menu then transfer the songs by clicking and dragging them to your new playlist on the left hand side menu. when finished connect your ipod and drag the playlist to your ipod picture on the lefthand side and your ipod will update and should conatin the cd. upload the CD to your iTunes, and then to your iPod. albumbase.com, but make sure to sign up and when they ask you your cell phone number just give it, they won%26#39;t charge you. I know some of them do it as a free service while others charge a small fee. good luck, i have bought the scratch removers and it never worked at all. Go to FYE Entertainment Store. They have this cleaner that truly works and it%26#39;s only $1.00. It worked on my CD that I was trying to fix for years. Try it. It works. put band-aides over the scratches i would try alchol it worked for my cousin!

Simply click "File" under iTunes, and click add folder. Then find the folder holding your limewire songs and click that folder. There is a number of ways you can do this, these are the easiest:

Two ways.the first is to sync the IPOD to your computer. Once Itunes comes up and it displays your IPOD, right click on the IPOD icon under devices on the left hand side and it will bring up a menu. Click on "new playlist" and it%26#39;ll create one. Then you just drag the songs from you music list to the playlist.

Well your limewire songs should be downloaded to your computer. If they%26#39;re not showing in Zune Marketplace, that means they%26#39;re in some folder Zune%26#39;s not looking in. You can tell Zune to look in your entire computer by do the following:
1. Open Zune Marketplace.
2. Click on Options found at the top
3. Select %26#39;library%26#39; and then %26#39;more Options...%26#39;
4. A window will appear and near the middle, you%26#39;ll see a button that says %26#39;monitor folders%26#39;
5. Click %26#39;Add folder%26#39; when the next window appears.
6. Click on (My) Computer
7. Click on your C: drive
8. Now click OK
This will tell Zune to look in your entire computer. It will begin a search for every music file on your computer. You should get them then and from now on.

assuming you are running on a XP and archos is made on earth--
go to my computer and click ontheicon of archos (after plugged in) to add music, click and drag to the music folder same for pics
if that doesnt work tryt musicmatch or yahoo music player probably use the computer, and search under the document section. it wont be in C folder. but i am not sure what archos is Assuming you can do so, plug your device into your pc. Then go to Windows Media Player, and do a "burn" to that device. Alternately, you could do a "copy" and "paste" in Windows Explorer. You have to buy a software at radio shack and install the program on your computer.
