How do I put music on my ipod?

It already has music on it, but it is synced with another library and I want to do it with my computer, but it says that if I do that it will erase all the other songs. I don%26#39;t want to do that. So how can I put music on it from my library without erasing what is already on there?

Answers:

You need to connect it to the computer and when it appears in iTunes tell it not to sync. Click on the Ipod on the left side where music and playlists are. At the bottom of the screen there is a graph with the number of GB%26#39;s used. Click on the box that says add music manually or something like that. Then simply drag the songs you would like to add to the Ipod from the Music folder in iTunes over to the Ipod logo and they should copy without syncing it. If you want to get the music of the iPod and simplify it all there is a tutorial at this website http://playlistmag.com/help/2005/01/2way... plug the ipod into the pc with the usb cable

do you have a music subscription service (iTunes) or a free service and do you have mp3%26#39;s on your hard drive?

then simply copy the files on to the Ipod Create a playlist with the songs you want to add to the ipod. Don%26#39;t do syncing. Just add the new playlist to the ipod and the songs should be added without disturbing the pre-added songs. If you have iTunes, you can set it to manual update so that you have to drag and drop the songs into the ipod. That way it won%26#39;t automatically transfer/delete songs.
