everytime i try click and drag the files i want highlighted, the song just tries to relocate itself on the list. suggestions please?

umm... be sure your not on a playlist... or on the party shuffle one... because dragging relocates there... and you can sort stuff by clicking tilte on the top bar to sort by title name... also for album, rating, etc... and hold shift button to highlight consecutive items... [first shift then click first item then click last item... all this time holding down shift button then when done release...] [also can be used with ctrl button... but a bit different function... ] hope this helped if your using a pc hold ctrl down while you click on each song separately, I think you hold the apple key down on mac but im not sure
