How do i put videos/movies on my ipod video?

i know that i can buy movies and stuff at itunes but i have some videos that i downloaded from veoh and some that i conveted on vixy and i want to put them on my ipod video, i tried to drag but i didn%26#39;t play or sync. and i tried getting files from my music folder and it dint transfer to my itunes library. so do i get files from my computer to play on my ipod??(as i said the drag didnt work)
