How do I transfer the songs I purchased from the Itunes store on to my Ipod?

I bought songs but I dont know how to get them on my Ipod Nano from the Itunes Library.

If you plug your Ipod into you computer with the white cord it came with and load Itunes a new playlist looking thing should appear saying ____%26#39;s Ipod. If you take the songs from Itunes and drag them into that part as you would when putting a song on a playlist, it should be put into your Ipod you should have a cord that came with your Ipod, and there is either a plug in the front or the back of your harddrive, try plugging it into there untill it shows on your library that your ipod is in the system, then the song you have should go to your ipod plug your pod into the computer using a usb cable. if you are in tunes something should pop up on the side saying you have a device plugged in. you then should be able to drag songs to the device. then push sync and all songs should be on your pod.
