I just did this a few hours ago with no problems =]

1. Go to My Computer.

2. Click on the E drive, or whatever drive it shows your iPod on.

3. Click Tools on the toolbar, then Folder Options.

4. Go to the Second tab over.

5. Click on "show hidden files and folders". You should now see a folder called "iPod Control" in the iPod folder.

6. Click on that folder.

7. Click the folder labeled as "music"

6. Copy and paste all of the folders to your desktop or wherever you want them.

8. The music is inside the folders! =]

Good luck! If you follow those directions exactly, nothing will go wrong. U cant do that. u gonna have to buy a flash drive and transfer each song. If you bought the songs off itunes, you must authorize your new computer through itunes to get the songs to play.

If they are songs with no copyright blocks (like stuff from your own CDs), just plug in your ipod, go to "my computer" and find the removeable drive that represents your ipod (F is mine) and pull it out of there i asked the same question %26 my cousin told me to download iDump. i trusted her that it was safe for the computer %26 not just some scam thing. it really works, %26 is easy to use. just download it at this link below :] you will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you as itunes blocks the ipod-to-computer transfer...see http://www.ipodtocomputer.net for help..it%26#39;s a shareware cost $20..it can copy songs, videos and playlists from ipod to pc only 2 clicks, works great for me.
