How do you save songs to your ipod shuffle coming from the songs saved in your computer?

I want to copy songs from the computer to my ipod shuffle. We tried to save the songs to my itunes files..still, no songs. What%26#39;s wrong

You have to put the songs into iTunes, then use it to synchronize the songs over to your Shuffle. go to file, click add folder to library, then the list of things come up n click ok n it does the rest on its own and dont unplug it untill its says ok n the red curcle thing comes up
