How do you delete songs from an iPod?

I just bought a used iPod nano and want to delete the songs that are on it without having to use my computer (they aren%26#39;t on my computer anyway) Is there a way to do this?

Answers:

Step by Step Procedure.

1. Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/

2. Download iTunes.

3. Go to http://www.softpedia.com/get/ipod-tools/...

4. Download iDump.

5. Connect iPod to computer.

6. If iTunes opens, ignore it.

7. Open iDump.

8. It should show all the songs on your ipod. Check all the ones you want and transfer them to the correct folder.

9. If there are any purchased songs from iTunes, when your finished with step 8, go to iTunes and click, "Transfer purchases."

10. Drag the files that you imported using iDump into iTunes.

11. Let your iPod sync with iTunes.

12. Give me best answer. You have to plug it into your computer , pull your iTunes and remove the songs from your device. You need to put it on your computer anyway to put the songs on so just sync it and it will delete the songs and replace them with the songs on the "new" library. 1st you plug your iPod in. Then you open iTunes. then you click on your iPod icon and in options click on Manually manage music and videos(you can change this later if you like). Then you click on the arow next to your iPod icon. a drop down menu of your iPod should show up. Click on music. Then click the songs you dont want and press delete. That should be it. no. To delete = Open media player* plug in mp3/4* highlight song/s* right click mouse and choose delete*
