i jst got my ipod and itunes automatically added songs i didnt want on my ipod now i want to take them off and add my songs any help
Answers:
You add songs to your iPod by first dragging songs to your iTunes library, and then dragging the songs selected within iTunes to your iPod%26#39;s logo (assuming its connected).
Apple doesn%26#39;t allow that or much past removing songs from your library, which you can do simply by deleting them once you have your iPod selected in iTunes (make sure MUSIC is highlighted)...
The thing about iTunes is that it may be set to update your iPod with whatever is in your iTunes library everytime you connect it (which can be trouble if you added new songs to your iPod from elsewhere), so you can prevent this by making sure the "Update iPod" option is not checked.
Nevertheless, if you%26#39;re interested in extracting songs, there%26#39;s a nice little program called "EphPod" that you can download here:

Very simple, and easy to use. Just connect your iPod, open the program. Follow the guide to select which songs you want, right-click and select "Save to Directory" (at which point you choose where you want the songs to end up), and its as simple as that!
But shhh! Apple wouldn%26#39;t appreciate it, so keep it on %26#39;tha low%26#39; lol good question If there are too many of them you can always click on restore my ipod and it will erase everything. When you ipod is connected to you pc click on the ipod icon then it will shows you songs on your ipod then select the song right click and remove. deselect (unclick) in itunes and resync. No native way to take them off iPod using ipod alone. Import or add songs in itunes as well. plug in your ipod into the pc then go into itunes then into music under your ipods name then choose the song you want to delete the press delete either by pressing delete on your keyboard or by right-clicking on the song. Go to your iTunes and right click on the song you want to delete and delete! :) Should be an answer at itunes site Delete them from iTunes, it%26#39;s the easiest way. Then go into Options and select Add Files Manually. This way, if you want a song on your iPod, you will have to add the song to iTunes yourself. Instead of syncing music with your iTunes library, open iTunes and go to your music settings with your iPod, and check the box saying "manually manage music". This way, you can connect your iPod to any computer and just drag the music files to your iPod. (To delete all the songs and start from scratch, plug in your iPod, open iTunes, go to your options, and restore your iPod to its original settings)
